Program Description:
CBAS is a restorative and maintenance rehabilitation and medical services in a structured, outpatient day program setting. Services include physical, occupational, and speech therapies; nursing care; social services; cognitive retraining exercises; nutritional counseling; pharmacy consultation, recreation & socialization; and a hot lunch served daily.
Program Objectives:
  • To restore or maintain optimal capacity for self care
  • To delay or prevent inappropriate institutionalization
The program stresses partnership with the participant, the family, the physician, and the community in working towards maintaining personal independence.
RIO Community-Based Adult Services is designed for adults experiencing a decrease in functioning primarily due to a brain injury, stroke, dementia, developmental disability, psychiatric disability, or other neurological condition.
